It's the holiday season, which I really enjoy. I love when the weather is cooler. I love watching my kids experience the magic and enjoy lights and Christmas displays I love baking and sharing goodies with friends. I love time with family and Mexican food on Christmas.
I don't really like the hustle and bustle though. I don't like the busyness. I want to marinate in the holidays, but so often it feels like I end up microwaving them. Trying to see how quickly I can do things, last minute shopping and changing plans last minute due to lack of time. Sometimes it's my own fault, but other times it's just how the schedule goes.
For the past few years I've wanted to make stockings for my family. I actually did an experimental stocking 3 years ago or so, and yet I still haven't made them. If there was one thing I could accomplish in the next few weeks that would make the season for me--it would be actually sewing the stockings.
I've also printed out a few Pinterest inspired projects that would make great budget-friendly Christmas gifts for family.
Tomorrow...I will come up with a plan. I will map out when this all gets done. I will stay on task and manage my time well.
These are the visions of sugarplums dancing in my head.
